Youth Leader Deanna Glaser with husband Adam. Deanna has been working with the high school age teenagers at the Fortuna Naz since September 2006. She started as an assistant then in the summer of ’07 she took over as the leader of the pack. Adam joined the group last November and has proven to be the biggest kid of them all; with his fun-loving spirit he’s a wonderful addition.

It is an honor and privilege to work week in and week out with the great group of teenagers at the Fortuna Church of the Nazarene. Our group ranges from a mature 8th grader up to recent high school grads. Each teen brings something special to the group but even with all their individuality they share the common thread of being loving and welcoming people. This group never ceases to amaze me. They are strong, proud young Christians and I consider myself very blessed having the opportunity to watch them mature in the Lord.
I encourage you teenagers out there to stop on by on a Wednesday night and join us for a time of scripture and discussion and then a fun game. We have extremely comfy couches lining the walls of our creatively decorated Youth room. The walls are covered with photos of our fun times together and a hand painted mural designed by one of our teens. The entire group has a very healthy sense of humor so some nights can get a little crazy; trust me this is not time to catch up on your beauty sleep. The Youth try as often as possible to get out and have fun. Recently, we joined other members of our church in the Fortuna Rodeo Parade on a float that earned 2nd prize in the Civic category.
Stay tuned for more updates on the goings on of the Fortuna NYI (Nazarene Youth International)
Yours in Christ~ Deanna
